One of my most favorite places to visit is Charleston, South Carolina. If I could move tomorrow and live there I would. The heritage that they have there runs deep, every where you go you can find some history. I can remember going there as a kid, going downtown to the open air market and seeing these wonderfully talented people weaving baskets. Not just ordinary baskets – Sweet Grass Baskets.
If you would like to read a bit more on these I have provided two links -

This photo was taken at Patriots Point Naval Museum, I have never seen a weaver setup shop there, this was the first time and let me tell you she was not happy about getting this picture taken…

I pulled this out of the archives. I think that I took this a few years ago. It is not my typical shot, this is before my HDR days and before I really was shooting seriously. Though when going through my albums I found this one and there as something about it that was interesting. This is in Charleston South Carolina at Patriots Point museum. If you have never gotten to go there I would highly recommend it. I have another idea for shooting this, cant wait to get back to try it again now.
by Chris LehmanWho doesn’t absolutely love the 80′s movies? Especially TopGun?? I know I do :)
Who doesn’t love a mighty F14 TomCat Fighter? I took this HDR handheld and pp it with almost a painting look and feel. Some do not like this type of processing, but I really liked how it turned out. This was taken atop of the USS Yorktown in Charleston South Carolina via the Naval Museum at Patriots Point.
