We were at the US Naval Museum in Charleston South Carolina, we were on the flight deck of this carrier. I remember vividly – why you ask? Because I had a broken foot from Thai Boxing. So there I was in wheel chair because that is what they give guys that hobble in on cruches…
Anyways, when it was first decided to go there I was thinking – ARE YOU KIDDING ME??? I dont want to hobble around a carrier that I have seen numerous times with a broken foot. Well, the kids wanted to go, so I went. And it was AWESOME. I normally get to spend most of my time with my oldest son but on this day he wanted to go and read everything and my youngest did not really care to be there. So I stayed with him while mom took the oldest. We had a blast. He pushed me around all over that thing – he had a blast. We went out and looked at the harbor, I let him use my camera to take photos, he then pushed me to the complete other side – only running my broken foot in things 7 or 8 times along the way – I would not trade this time with him for anything.
He got to the point that he wanted to go, so him and I took off and went back to shore. When my oldest and mom finally got there we decide to look at the base on land. As I turned around this storm rolled in so fast and this is what it looked like – sorry for the long post :)
by Chris LehmanWho doesn’t absolutely love the 80′s movies? Especially TopGun?? I know I do :)
Who doesn’t love a mighty F14 TomCat Fighter? I took this HDR handheld and pp it with almost a painting look and feel. Some do not like this type of processing, but I really liked how it turned out. This was taken atop of the USS Yorktown in Charleston South Carolina via the Naval Museum at Patriots Point.
